The work is rooted in my personal experiences as a child and unfolds as a visual journey through my grieving process. Loss changes over time—it moves with you and surfaces in its own rhythm. I wanted to work with transparency, because the mourning process is not linear. I am happy how it turned out and that I could work on this scale. You can get lost in stories, travel through time, bump into someone just like that and daydream with your coffee. Sometimes you find something you didn't know you were looking for or just learn unusual things. But most of the time you will come up with new ideas and forget for a moment what time it is. For Huis73 in ’s-Hertogenbosch I was asked to make an artwork for their 2-year’ temporary location of the library in which all different experiences they offer are presented. Creating this 4x4 meter piece was like putting together a puzzle. I loved diving into this proces and get lost in the details. I hope the visitor can discover something different in it each time.
